There is never a dull moment on this strategic program, a cornerstone for the nation s security! The Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program will replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), the first of its kind in over 50 years. This program is considered a mega-project and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense (DOD). The weapon system acquisition brings the newest digital engineering tools and Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075.

**The role**

BAE is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer accountable to the Support Systems Program Manager for all tasks assigned; you will be part of a tight-knit team charged with supporting the acquisition and development of GBSD Support Systems. Specifically, as a member of the Training Systems Branch, you will be in a group that is responsible for Training Devices (Simulators), their associated support equipment, and networks. Day-to-day, the System Engineer s opportunities can include planning, organizing, and reviewing technical activities relating to the design, development, fabrication, installation, modification, and/or analysis of systems or systems components. You will support the team using best practices within the realm of agile techniques, MBSE, and supporting Program Managers in their understanding of technical requirements. You will use tools such as DOORs, Matlab, and Cameo.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ BS/MS in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or Physics

+ Seven years' directly-related experience (5 years' with MS degree)

+ At least 3 years' progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership ability to understand requirements and their traceability

+ Active U.S. Government Secret clearance with a background investigation completed no greater than 6 years' prior to hiring

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Advanced degree in Engineering is desirable

+ Experience with DOD Acquisition

+ Experience with EVMS

+ Experience with engineering software tools (ex: Cameo, MATLAB and DOORS) is highly desirable

+ Prior experience working with classified government IT systems is desirable

+ Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is highly desirable

+ Extensive knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel is desirable
