Production Shift Lead (Personalization) 2nd Shift-staffed by Coast Personnel

We are searching for an experienced Production Shift Lead (Personalization) 2nd Shift-staffed by Coast Personnel at our Asheville, NC facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities for the group leader are to assist the personalization supervisor and personalization management in the daily operations of production floor. These duties may include assisting other operators, completing monthly inventory count of materials used in the production process, and answering questions from other operators on quality and other production issues.

  • Ability to operate most production equipment in production process
  • Understand job specification format and terms and be able to explain this to other operators
  • Assist supervisor and other members of management in assisting other operators with questions concerning operator tasks or quality questions
  • Assist and monitor other general machine operators and quality control operators with their tasks to ensure proper procedures are being followed
  • Assist supervisor and manager in completing monthly inventory counts for production materials
  • Assist supervisor and manager in reviewing production personnel time entry sheets to ensure worked hours and jobs are logged in correctly
  • Completing material transactions in ERP system at shift end
  • Safely perform physical demands as indicated below
  • Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel
  • Work overtime as needed to meet customers' needs

Qualifications:

  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
    *Note - Offer may be extended without Diploma or GED - Requirement must be fulfilled within 9 months of hire date.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability for paying attention to detail (detail oriented)
  • Can complete tasks with little supervision (self-motivated)

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus and see colors with acuity

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in an indoor setting, but may be exposed to:

  • Variable temperature conditions indoor and outside (occasionally extreme heat or extreme cold)
  • Moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and dust and/or mite hazards
  • Moderate noise environment

Regular work days are Monday through Friday. First Shift hours are 6:55 am - 3:05 pm; Second Shift hours are 2:55 pm - 11:05 pm; Third shift hours are 10:55 pm - 7:05 am. Additional overtime may be required with short notice.
