Machine Operator – Manufacturing | $18-$19/Hour | 2nd & 3rd Shift

Job duties for Machine Operator:

We are currently hiring dependable candidates for Machine Operator, Plate Maker, and Plate Mounter positions with a local manufacturing company. No previous manufacturing experience is required, and employees will be trained on the job.

Operate manufacturing equipment to cut and bend thin rolls of metal to specific lengths.
Load approximately 35 lb. metal spools onto machines.
Inspect and package completed products.
Perform repetitive manufacturing tasks while standing for most of the shift.
Plate Maker employees transfer print designs onto plates using ultraviolet light or liquid resin.
Plate Mounter employees carefully align and attach plates to round rollers using blueprints, brackets, and bands.
Employees will be placed in the department that best matches their skills and interests.
Follow safety procedures and maintain good attendance.
Work independently while also working as part of a team.

Requirements for Machine Operator:

No previous manufacturing experience required; training is provided.
Manufacturing, construction, trades, mechanical, or other hands-on experience is preferred.
Strong work history and 2+ years of longevity at previous jobs preferred; flexibility may be considered for the right candidate.
Ability to read and write.
Ability to read measurements and follow specific lengths.
Strong attention to detail.
Comfortable standing for most of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when needed; regular lifting is generally around 35 lbs.
Reliable attendance and dependable work history.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Shift for Machine Operator:

Training is on 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Training may also be 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Training will last at least 1 month and likely 2 months before moving to an off shift.
Current openings are primarily 2nd and 3rd shift.
2nd Shift: Typically 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
3rd Shift: Typically 5:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. or 8:00 p.m.-4:00 a.m.
Overtime mandatory once hired in and may be available before/after shifts and on Saturdays.

Pay for Machine Operator:

$18/hour starting pay
$19/hour once moved to 2nd or 3rd shift
Weekly pay
