The Epic Communications Lead will drive strategic and operational communications for an Epic electronic health record (EHR) deployment, focused on ambulatory and behavioral health services. This role ensures clear, timely, and effective communication across clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to support adoption, readiness, and sustained engagement throughout the implementation lifecycle.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Communication Strategy & Planning**
+ Develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan aligned with Phase II milestones, including go-live and stabilization.
+ Tailor messaging for diverse audiences including clinicians, behavioral health providers, administrative staff, and leadership.
+ Partner with change management and training teams to ensure alignment of messaging and timing.
**Stakeholder Engagement**
+ Identify key stakeholder groups and maintain targeted communication strategies for each.
+ Serve as a liaison between IT, clinical leadership, ambulatory operations, and behavioral health teams.
+ Support executive communications, including briefings, updates, and presentations.
**Content Development**
+ Create and manage a wide range of communication materials: newsletters, emails, FAQs, talking points, tip sheets, and intranet content.
+ Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly messaging.
+ Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and messaging across all channels.
**Go-Live & Hypercare Support**
+ Lead communications for go-live readiness, including countdown messaging and support resources.
+ Provide real-time updates during go-live and stabilization periods.
+ Coordinate issue escalation messaging and user support communications.
**Channel Management**
+ Utilize multiple communication channels (email, intranet, town halls, digital signage, etc.) to maximize reach and engagement.
+ Monitor communication effectiveness and adjust strategies based on feedback and engagement metrics.
**Feedback & Continuous Improvement**
+ Establish feedback loops (surveys, focus groups, frontline input) to assess communication effectiveness.
+ Continuously refine communication strategies to improve user understanding and adoption.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in leading communication programs for Epic deployments/implementations
+ Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci).
+ Experience working with clinical stakeholders and healthcare workflows. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and privacy considerations.

**The expected base salary for this position ranges from $85.00 to $95.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.**
