Installation Engineer

**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Installation Engineer.** This position is onsite in **San Diego, CA.**

The candidate will support teams performing installs, maintenance, repairs, overhauls, troubleshooting, and the tests of electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and related devices. The candidate will apply their technical knowledge to assist junior team members with the completion of assigned tasking.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

+ Support team members and perform required communication equipment integration or installation of communication systems equipment, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and use of test equipment as required

+ Performance of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting or assessment of electronic equipment

+ Work alongside engineers to design, build and test solutions to a variety of technical problems

+ Analyze operations and offer suggestions for improvement

+ Perform field validations of various watercraft and equipment

+ Perform work between customer sites, shore sites, and/or on ships

+ Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Associates degree in a related field and 4+ years of experience, or High School Diploma and 6 years of experience

+ Experience with test equipment such as: Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Optical analyzers, power meters, bench power supplies, or multimeters

+ Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) services

+ Technical experience with UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) panels

+ Experience with fiber connectors

+ Able to work with high frequency antennas

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience with HF/VHF/UHF radio systems RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers), basic electronic principles, a firm knowledge of networking equipment, IP networking and sub-netting is required

+ Experience with JIRA/Confluence

+ NAVSEA Certified in Fiber Optic Termination

+ Experience with HF/VHF/UHF installation/troubleshooting

+ Experience with RF Connectors

+ Tower Climber Certified

**Clearance Requirements:**

+ US Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance

+ Must be eligible to get a CAC card

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.

+ Work extensive time in stationary positions.

+ Climb and descend ladders
