JOB DESCRIPTION:

+ Maintain workplace Safety as TOP PRIORITY.

+ Lead by Example to drive plant wide 6S initiatives and establish a world class manufacturing facility.

+ Capable of troubleshooting and repairing various machinery, equipment, and facility structures to support the operations of the facility and the production process.

+ Troubleshooting includes hydraulic systems, compressed air systems, mechanical drivetrains, blowers, steam systems, and electrical controls.

+ Electrical ranges from Low voltage analog signals, 24vDC control wiring, 115V AC single phase, and 3 phase 480V AC.

+ Perform process troubleshooting to assist the production department with processing of quality parts in a pipe extrusion process, a drainage system assembly process, and polymeric bead expansion process.

+ Troubleshooting to include the identification of root cause, and ultimately a permanent corrective action(s).

+ Access Programmable Logic Controllers for basic troubleshooting with and without remote engineering support.

+ Experience with Robotics, AMR’s, AGV’s, and Digital Data Acquisition for cloud based visual management.

+ Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment according to prescribed schedules and procedures. Various equipment such as motors, pumps, hydraulics, and cylinders.

+ Provide leadership and training to technical associates within the facility when necessary.

+ Able to assist the department in developing improvement projects in support of a more predictive and preventative maintenance system.

+ Capable of performing welding, small metal fabrication, and equipment designs to correct root cause failures when needed or assigned.

+ Perform all job duties with fine attention to detail and a world-class mindset. Be the standard.

+ Able to work in a team setting, self-motivated, productive without direct supervision.

+ Flexible work schedule, available for off-shift support if necessary. Occasional overtime and weekend work.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

+ 3-5 years of experience in plastic injection / extrusion molding and or hydraulics in a manufacturing setting as a process technician.

+ High School Diploma Required.

+ Must have forklift experience.

+ Trade certification in electrical, plumbing, or other related preferred.

+ Kaizen experience is a plus.

+ Six Sigma is a plus.

+ Previous experience in troubleshooting and repair of plastics processing equipment.

+ Experience with industrial electrical. and mechanical

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Strong knowledge of extrusion process and material blending

+ Strong knowledge of extrusion pipe manufacturing processes.

+ Knowledgeable with the use of computers (MS Office Suite), CMMS Software, 6S and Lean methodology preferred.

+ Knowledge of and ability to support an organization with ISO14001 Certification

+ Communication skills both in person or utilizing technology platforms such as cellular, email, or other.

OTHER:

+ Ability to work shift various shifts if needed.

+ Satisfactory work performance and attendance in previous companies or position(s).

+ Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.

+ Positive, Can – Do Attitude

+ Ability to work in various climate conditions including hot and cold weather.

+ Must be willing / able to travel on a limited basis for additional off sight training or vendor/supplier meetings.
