**Job Description**

AECOM is seeking Senior Construction Manager in Oakland, California. This candidate will be the project or program lead overseeing the construction management staff on infrastructure projects. Will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project or program and implementation of the project plans and specifications as well as be the main point of contact for the client.

This role will:

+ Establishes operational objectives and work plans, delegates assignment to subordinate managers.

+ Reviews objectives to determine success of operation.

+ Develops, modifies, executes company polices that affect immediate operations and may have company-wide effect.

+ Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.

+ Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

+ Oversees the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction.

+ Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the planning, design and/or construction management activities and personnel under individual's direction on a day-to-day basis.

Ideal Candidate will have experience with:

+ Experience as Construction Manager or Resident Engineer on public works projects with construction value $100M+.

+ Experience managing multiple contracts

+ Experience working with VTA, BART, TJPA, CHSR, Caltrain and other Northern California Agencies

+ Excellent Communication Skills

+ Experience overseeing a project staff.

+ Strong understanding of railroad standards and specifications

+ Ability to obtain railroad specific required safety training

+ Experience writing and negotiating change orders

+ Experience with dispute resolution and claims

**Qualifications**

Minimum Requirements:

+ BA/BS + 10 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.

+ Valid driver’s license required, MVR check required.

+ California PE License.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Transit Program Experience.

+ Railroad Grade Separation Experience.

+ Existing relationships with railroad entities in Northern California.

+ Technical Writing skills.

+ Experience in pursuit interviews as key staff.

+ Experience with Business Development and positioning

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $170000 to $300000.
