Security Officer - Armed Mobile Part Time

As a **Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Mobile** in **Fairfax, VA** , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

**Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Mon03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

**How This Role Works:**

+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.

+ Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry and exit activity for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or vendors while documenting security-related events and observations.

+ Support medical facility operations by communicating with site contacts, reporting incidents promptly, and assisting with de-escalation and emergency-related actions when appropriate.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card/license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

+ CPR/First Aid is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
