BayCare is looking for an Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team!

**Position Description:** Supervisor - Environmental Services

**Position Details:**

+ **Location:** Morton Plant: 300 Pinellas Street Clearwater, FL 33756

+ **Status:** Full-time, Exempt: No

+ **Shift:** 8:00AM – 4:30PM

+ Every other weekend requirement

+ **On Call:** No

+ Always in person

**Position Summary:**

+ Assists in maintaining a quality standard of cleanliness in accordance with the policies and procedures of the hospital.

+ Performs team member functions including interviewing, hiring, selecting, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and terminations, scheduling, training, and payroll.

+ Organizes the receiving, storing, and inventory of supplies to meet service requirements.

+ Plans work schedules and assigns hours and areas of work to ensure adequate services for all areas of the hospital.

+ Responsible for training and supervising environmental services team members.

+ Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the hospital; recommends painting, repairs, furnishing and refurnishing, relocation of equipment and re-allocation of space to improve sanitation, appearance and efficiency.

+ Investigates and evaluates new environmental procedures, supplies and equipment.

+ Responsible for performing quality control checks to ensure compliance with infection control and regulatory requirements.

+ Responsible for maintaining the records for hazardous waste and regulated medical waste.

+ Conducts monthly meetings in the absence of senior leadership.

+ Oversees the daily huddles and topics of discussion. Collaborates with other managers on the clinical units to gain cooperation for improving Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores related to cleanliness.

+ Demonstrates the ability to work independently.

+ Assumes Manager duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

**Preferred certification:** Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST)

**Required Experience:** 3 years in environmental services related field

**Preferred experience:** 6 months in healthcare lead or coordinator role
