As a **Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol** in **Chapel Hill, NC** , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

**Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour**

Tue06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

**How This Role Works:**

+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff while carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter checkpoints, as assigned by post orders.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, unusual activity, and/or policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.

+ Support opening, closing, and/or after-hours coverage by following assigned post instructions, verifying credentials when required, and communicating clearly with clients, visitors, and first responders.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Possess 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Pepper spray certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
