As a **Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credentialing** in **Durham, NC** , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

**Pay Rate: $17.23 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Sun04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

**How This Role Works:**

+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.

+ Control access at entry and exit points by verifying credentials, screening visitors, drivers, and/or vendors, and documenting authorized movement throughout the location.

+ Respond to incidents, access issues, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols.

+ Monitor inbound and outbound activity involving personnel, deliveries, trailers, and/or vehicles, and report unusual or unauthorized activity to site contacts.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
