Work location: Texas Health HEB: 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, Texas 76022

Work hours: PRN Days; 8-10-hour shifts, 1 - 2 days per week

Here's What You Need

* Bachelor's Degree Nursing required

* RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire

* BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

* CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required

* Certification in CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse) OR CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse) OR CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse) within 6 months of hire

* 2 years nursing experience required

* Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

* Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients

* Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

What You Will Do

* Assists in the identification of ineffective and costly processes and takes action to improve those processes.

* Work with other team members to resolve patient issues.

* Ensure communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete.

* Post-operative patient/family teaching and discharge instructions, referrals and supply needs.

* Assists staff to maintain current knowledge and competence for WOC patients through orientation, educational programs, role modeling, consultation and review of policies and procedures according to national guidelines.
