Security Officer - Part Time

As a **Security Dispatch Officer** in **Aurora, IL** , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

**Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour**

Thur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

**How This Role Works:**

+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, dispatch protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Monitor phones, radios, alarms, cameras, and other communication systems to receive calls for service, document activity, and coordinate security-related responses across the location.

+ Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, relaying accurate information to site personnel, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.

+ Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and dispatch records, helping support shift-to-shift communication, situational awareness, and timely follow-up on security-related concerns.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as needed, while supporting access activity, visitor processing, and other security-related operations within a technology-focused location.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.

+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

+ Access control and badge experience preferred.

+ Customer service experience preferred.

+ Alarm panel experience preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
