Security Officer - Part Time Dispatch

As a **Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Dispatch** in **Aurora, IL** , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

**Pay Rate: $23.50 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Fri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

**How This Role Works:**

+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, handling incoming calls, and communicating security-related information in a professional manner.

+ Monitor radios, phones, alarms, cameras, and/or dispatch systems to receive reports, document activity, and relay information to on-site personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations by coordinating communications, dispatching appropriate personnel, and following post orders and emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and shift activity records to support daily operations and help with follow-up on security-related concerns.

+ Conduct regular and random patrol coordination around the location and perimeter, while helping to identify unusual activity, access issues, and/or conditions that may require additional attention.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
