The BAE Systems Combat Mission Systems (CMS) site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer in support of 2nd Shift.

In this role as a Principal Quality Engineer, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for ensuring requirements are met through multiple functional areas of the ACV vehicle platform. Included will be leadership duties overseeing a team, including bargaining unit Inspectors. As this position supports on the 2nd shift, you will often be working independently in defining specific tasks and priorities to support operations quality.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Typically requires a Bachelors in a technical discipline and six (6) years related experience (i.e. Quality Assurance, Quality Control), or the overall equivalent.

+ Proven management experience to oversee and lead a team of direct and indirect reports.

+ Experience operating within ISO 9001 standard.

+ Strong background in problem solving techniques (A3, DMAIC, etc).

+ High proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry related database applications.

+ Excellent problem solving skills and analytical ability.

+ Ability to work and lead independently.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Must be able to support on the 2nd Shift. Please note that training will take place on the day shift.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ ASQ Certification preferred.

+ Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD.

+ Formal training in root cause analysis is preferred.

+ Experience implementing APQP in a low-rate, technically complex product environment is preferred.

+ Certified Weld Inspector qualification or experience

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
