Human Resource Manager | Manufacturing | Up to $90,000/year | Flexible Schedule

We have partnered with a manufacturing company in Weston, OH to find an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead and manage all aspects of human resources within their facility. This is a direct-hire opportunity for an HR professional with strong employee relations, leadership, compliance, recruiting, and manufacturing experience.
Job duties for Human Resource Manager:
• Serve as a strategic Human Resources partner to plant and executive leadership
• Maintain a visible and active presence throughout the manufacturing facility and on the production floor
• Foster a positive, productive, and engaged work environment for hourly and salaried employees
• Investigate employee complaints, workplace concerns, and policy violations
• Provide guidance and coaching to managers and supervisors on employee relations, conflict resolution, and corrective action
• Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract and retain skilled manufacturing employees
• Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and workforce requirements
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
• Partner with staffing agencies to support workforce planning initiatives
• Monitor turnover, absenteeism, hiring, and retention trends and recommend improvement strategies
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Oversee compliance related to FMLA, ADA, EEO, workers' compensation, and other employment requirements
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
• Administer performance management programs and annual review processes
• Identify training and development needs and support leadership development, succession planning, and employee career growth
• Support employee recognition, engagement, and retention initiatives
• Assist with compensation programs, wage analysis, and benefits administration
• Support collective bargaining agreement administration and grievance resolution as needed
• Collaborate with the EHS Specialist to promote a strong safety culture and support workers' compensation and return-to-work programs
• Track and analyze HR metrics and prepare reports and recommendations for plant and executive leadership
• Identify workforce trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
Requirements for Human Resource Manager:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required
• 5–8 years of progressive Human Resources experience required
• Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
• Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and Human Resources best practices
• Previous experience handling employee relations, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action
• Experience with recruiting, workforce planning, employee retention, and performance management
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
• Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
• Experience analyzing HR data and making strategic recommendations
• Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Union and collective bargaining experience preferred
• SHRM, SPHR, or similar Human Resources certification preferred
• Must be comfortable maintaining a visible presence on the manufacturing floor and supporting operations across shifts
Shift for Human Resource Manager:
• Monday–Friday schedule
• Flexible daytime schedule between approximately 7:00am–6:00pm
• Option to work four 9-hour days Monday–Thursday and a half day on Friday
• Schedule flexibility based on business and operational needs
• Must be willing to maintain a presence on the production floor, including occasional interaction with 2nd shift employees
Pay for Human Resource Manager:
• Approximately $90,000/year
• Direct-hire, exempt position
