**Job Description**
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
**What You ll Do:**
+ Work with production or program management to determine production-staffing requirements. Assign staff to support production or program schedules.
+ Conceive, develop, and implement solutions to specific production or program problems.
+ Ensure production tasks are completed according to production or program requirements and schedules.
+ Ensure employees are properly trained and receive the supervision and direction needed to accomplish their work assignments in an efficient and cost-effective manner observing all applicable work rules, safety rules, department directives, and company policies.
+ Write and conduct performance appraisals.
+ Maintain assigned lab spaces including, but not limited to, FOD control, ESD, safety audits, compressed gas inventory, etc.
+ Prepare and maintain required records and reports in accordance with company policies and government policies.
+ May manage the implementation of existing or new policies or procedures.
+ Develop and coach direct reports on systems, technical expertise, problem solving, and contributing to positive work culture.
+ Support continuous progress towards a Lean working environment by aligning to customer value and developing capabilities to solve problems to achieve that value.
+ Willing and capable of creating partnerships with cross-functional leaders to ensure successful execution of program activities.
+ Role also includes performing duties as a technician for approximately 60% of the time including:
+ Role tasks may include cleaning, parts/materials preparation, mechanical /electrical assembly, soldering, polymerics processing, adhesive/bonding, masking, and paint operations.
+ While executing manufacturing operations apply an advanced level of knowledge and skills in hardware assembly, troubleshooting and repair.
+ Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
+ Perform other duties as necessary.
**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ BS/BA in a related field plus 2 or more years related experience.
+ Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
+ A current, active Secret security clearance is required.
+ Ability to lead in a cross-functional team environment, with a customer-focused approach, and an aptitude for continuous improvement in serving internal and external customers.
+ Demonstrated understanding and passion for Lean production concepts, complex problem resolution and supply chain initiatives.
+ Solid manufacturing background.
+ Demonstrated experience supporting, coaching, and developing team members.
+ Experience working as a technician in an electrical, mechanical, optical, or test technician capacity.

**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
