We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Chief Engineer to support our Weapon Data Link products within our Adaptive Communications & Sensing (AC&S) product line. Based in Wayne, NJ, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions that empower our customers and safeguard our nation.
As a Chief Engineer on a project or product family, you will be the technical conscience of the program, ensuring the system(s), product(s), and service(s) being developed and delivered are viable, fit for purpose, and will satisfy customer needs, product/system requirements, and the mission and/or application. The CE is the system architect, the primary owner of the technical solution, and the technical interface to Program, Engineering, Functional and Executive leadership.
**Key responsibilities include:**
+ Technical Solution Definition, Viability and Adequacy:
+ Leads (system) architecture to drive architectures for Weapon Data Link product
+ Ensures system design and implementation meet technical requirements and customer/mission needs within allocated engineering cost & schedule
+ Ensures system design is realizable, maintainable, supportable and testable
+ Drives technical risk and opportunity definition, identification, and mitigation/realization
+ Technical interface to Customer, PMO and executive leadership:
+ Understand requirements, missions, use cases, and constraints
+ Technical risks and issues including impact assessment, mitigation, and closure plans
+ Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in the development and execution of complex engineering programs. Strong team building skills that enable collaboration and coordination within and across teams, functions, and other business units.
+ Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related technical field or combination of education and professional experience
+ 10 years of progressive experience in the design, development, and integration of complex hardware/softwarebased systems (e.g., RF, embedded or communications).
+ Demonstrated success leading technical teams and overseeing fulllifecycle development and test activities.
+ Ability to develop system architectures from concept through implementation.
+ Proven experience capturing, documenting, and translating requirements for RFor related systems.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting technical information to varied audiences, including senior leadership and external customers.
+ Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Experience in an engineering leadership role (e.g., Systems Lead, Chief Engineer) responsible for complex electronic or Comms or RFcentric programs.
+ Handson experience with MBSE tools (e.g., DOORS, MagicDraw, or similar) for requirements management and architecture modeling.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $153377 - $260743

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
