**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator to lead the upgrade of our SharePoint 2019 environment to SharePoint Subscription Edition (SPSE) and drive the migration to SharePoint Online (SPO). This role requires strong on-prem administration skills, Power Platform integration experience, Azure knowledge, and hands-on expertise with ShareGate migrations.

**Key Responsibilities**

SharePoint Modernization & Migration

+ Lead the full upgrade from SP2019 → SPSE and the migration from SPSE → SharePoint Online.

+ Use ShareGate to plan and execute migrations of sites, content, metadata, and permissions.

+ Create migration plans, runbooks, readiness assessments, and validation procedures.

SharePoint Administration:

+ Do monthly patching of the systems

+ Provide support for Microsoft SharePoint 2019 architecture, including deployment, upgrade, and migration tasks.

+ Experience with the migration of user profiles between domains and manage synchronization across the farm.

+ Knowledge of Windows Servers, Active Directory (AD), ADFS, and related services such as DNS, SMTP, NLB, and Event Viewer.

+ Experience with backups and restore of web application, administration of SQL Server

Profile & Farm Management:

+ Assist in upgrading SharePoint farms and managing user profile synchronization.

+ Configure and maintain Enterprise Search, indexing configurations, and search scheduling.

+ Troubleshoot advanced issues including site permissions, configurations, and general user support.

Power Platform & Application Migration:

+ Migrate applications to SharePoint Online and ensure smooth integration with the Power Platform.

+ Deploy the solutions developed by the team to SharePoint online and/or Power Platform

+ Knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Data Gateway, SQL connectors, and API integrations for SharePoint and Power Platform apps.

+ Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines

+ Ensure data security and governance, handling sensitive information and managing retention policies.

Security, Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

+ Conduct performance monitoring, use tools like Event Viewer, and troubleshoot SharePoint site issues.

+ Optimize storage management through clean-up, archiving, and ensuring sufficient space for site operations.

+ Install and manage service packs, updates, and hotfixes during off-peak times.

+ Work closely with LAN Admins to make sure that the farm is secure and complaint with agency’s policies

+ Ability to configure and monitor Unified Audit Logs for tracking user activity across SharePoint Online and Power Platform.

+ Experience using Security and Compliance Centers to monitor activities, generate security reports, and analyze risks

Required Skills & Qualifications:

+ 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years dedicated to SharePoint On-Premises administration (2016/2019/SPSE) and/or SPO.

+ Proven experience upgrading SharePoint 2019 → SPSE and migrating on-prem SharePoint to SharePoint Online.

+ Hands-on experience with ShareGate for large-scale, complex migrations.

+ Expertise in SharePoint Online administration, permissions, site design, security, and governance.

+ Working knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, and integrating Power Platform solutions with SharePoint.

+ Strong grasp of ULS logs, Event Viewer, SharePoint Health Analyzer, and other diagnostic tools.

+ US citzenship.

**A Public Trust clearance will be required. Prefer candidates with existing Government Clearance.

Strongly preferred:

+ Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
