Senior Program Manager

**Job Description**

BAE Systems is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Senior Program Manager with current program management and business operations experience to lead our Team that provides support for the full range of technical engineering support services necessary for cradle-to-grave program management of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Program Executive Office (PEO) for Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS) Combat Management Systems (CMS).

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** :

+ Lead High-Complexity Contract Management: Directly managing, coordinating, planning, organizing, controlling, integrating, and executing the program and a collection of projects within the program; Ensure achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives; Lead the program management and aspects of the program solution to achieve program and contract objectives in support of NAVSEA and PEO IWS CMS program objectives.

+ Demonstrate Financial Management Expertise: Apply advanced financial management principles in compliance with Navy Financial Appropriation Uses and Expirations, ensuring budgetary integrity and effective resource allocation for program success.

+ Provide management and reporting of contractual tasks including, at minimum; conduct Quarterly Performance Reviews; interim program reviews (IPRs), prepare invoicing status reports per Task Order requirements; and provide Task Order deliverable status report(s) or other contractor managerial reporting as it relates to contractor performance as necessary. (

+ Oversee Program Resource Management: Ensure optimal management of program time, cost, and schedule through strategic planning, risk mitigation, and ongoing monitoring of resources to maintain alignment with organizational objectives.

+ Supervise and Optimize Team Performance: Manage and coordinate the workload of both technical and non-technical staff, including staffing, training, performance evaluations, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality program milestones.

+ Resolve Critical Contract and Performance Issues: Utilize strong problem-solving and negotiation skills to address and resolve performance and contract-related issues, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to government requirements.

**DESIRED ATTRIBUTES AND ABILITIES** :

+ Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA III in Program Management.

+ Certified SCRUM Master or Project Management Institute (PMI) Agile Certified Practitioner.

+ Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Familiarity.

+ Communication and Briefing Skills.

+ Program Management experience running a large support services contract with subcontractors.

+ Experience with cost, schedule and performance management as it relates to program execution.

+ Program and Personnel Management.

+ Financial Management.

+ Risk Management Policies and Assessment.

+ Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects and timelines.

+ Strong attention to detail, ensuring precision and quality across all project deliverables and program documentation.

+ Rapid learner, quickly adapting to new tools, systems, and industry practices to drive program success.

+ Proven team-oriented mindset, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet program goals and foster a positive working environment.

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) for project tracking, reporting, and data analysis.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

Minimum education and years of experience required: A degree in a technical field (this could include, but is not limited to computer science, computer engineering, engineering, engineering management, information science, information systems management, information technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, technology management and system engineering)

And

Associate s degree with twenty (20) years of U.S. Navy Combat Systems experience

Or

Bachelor s degree with fifteen (15) years of relevant engineering experience (this could include, but is not limited to experience in DoD systems architectures, design, development, and test and evaluation, experience in concept definition, requirements definition and initial and detailed system design activities)

Or

Master s degree with ten (10) years of relevant engineering experience (this could include, but is not limited to experience in DoD systems architectures, design, development, and test and evaluation; experience in concept definition, requirements definition and initial and detailed system design activities).

Or

PhD with eight (8) years of relevant engineering experience (this could include, but is not limited to experience in DoD systems architectures, design, development, and test and evaluation; experience in concept definition, requirements definition and initial and detailed system design activities).

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

Working knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA III in Program Management.

Knowledge of DoD Acquisition Regulations.

Current or previous experience supporting NAVSEA PEO IWS efforts.

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
