Patient Care Tech - PCT – Advanced Clinical Care Unit
Night Shift - 7pm-7:30am - 36 hours per week
This role requires a valid CNA license for the District of Columbia
Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence, a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.
The Clinical Technician (PCT) works as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with advanced training in specific clinical skills/competencies on the health care team.
- Periodically checks patients, takes vital signs, and observes condition of the patient and patient care equipment or devices.
- Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures
- Performs bedside glucose monitoring, EKG tracing, and phlebotomy
- Inserts IVs
- Measures and records intake and output
- Inserts and removes Foley catheters

Minimum Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or GED
- Current certification as CNA in the District of Columbia
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR required
