The Advance Group has partnered with a global solar panel manufacturing company in Walbridge, Ohio that recently opened its 4th local facility and is currently hiring for General Labor and Forklift positions.

Job duties for Manufacturing Associates:

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the facility
Load and unload materials and assist with warehouse and shipping duties
Pick, package, inspect, and band solar modules by hand
Break down wooden crates and pallets using drills, hammers, and other hand tools
Manually disassemble crate end caps and organize wood into stacks
Prepare and brace loads for shipment
Perform material handling and general warehouse support as needed
Use data entry systems to document shipping and order information
Notify supervisors of defects, safety hazards, or damaged materials
Support production and warehouse operations while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Monitor equipment and process data using computer systems and machine control panels

Requirements for Manufacturing Associates:

• Previous general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, or forklift experience required
• Minimum of 1 year recent forklift experience required for forklift openings
• Experience using hand tools required
• Excellent attendance and reliability required
• Must be able to pass a drug and background check
• Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
• Must be willing to work in various departments as needed
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs consistently
• Ability to stand, bend, walk long distances, and perform repetitive lifting throughout shift
• Ability to climb stairs occasionally
• Good computer skills preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for forklift positions
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must have access to a smartphone for the company’s mobile timekeeping system
• Safety-first mindset required

Shift for Manufacturing Associates:
•Both day and night shifts available!
•Day Shift: 6:00am-6:10pm
•Night Shift: 6:00pm-6:10am
• Rotating schedule with every other weekend off
• Additional weekday time off built into schedule
• 3-day weekends every other weekend

Pay for Manufacturing Associate:
• $16.50-18/hr depending on shift and position
