Senior AWS Cloud Engineer

**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Senior AWS Cloud Engineer** to join our team. This is a **remote** position.

The Cloud Engineer will be supporting an ambitious endeavor to reimagine how our customer, Naval Sea Systems, provides AWS cloud services to its customers. This includes deploying AWS services in a modern, fully automated manner.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

+ Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot compute assets in AWS and Azure

+ Compose new Terraform code and/or edit existing code for the deployment of AWS resources

+ Take an automation-first approach to the administration and configuration management of resources deployed in AWS GovCloud

+ Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Windows Server instances and their AMI lifecycle

+ Participate in Agile ceremonies as a member of a highly functioning Agile engineering team

+ Create, maintain, and update relevant system documentation as required

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related STEM discipline and 9+ years of general IT experience, or an Associates degree and 11 years of general IT experience, or a High School Diploma and 13+ years of general IT experience.

+ 4+ years of relevant experience completing tasks relevant to cloud engineering

+ Must have an associate-level AWS certification (ex. AWS CSAA) or higher

+ Must possess a DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification (ex. Sec+)

+ Experience in RHEL OS and/or Windows Server with knowledge in maintaining them

+ Experience automating production cloud deployments/administration with tools like Terraform and/or Ansible

**Preferred Qualifications** :

+ Experience in customer-facing roles

+ 3+ years of production Terraform experience

+ Experience working with GitHub or similar system and Git

**Clearance Requirements:**

+ US Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

+ Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

+ Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

+ Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
