Oracle Software Engineer

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Oracle Software Engineer** to join our team. This is a remote position.

Candidates must have an active Security+ CE certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

+ Maintain Reporting Instance (RI) Database

+ Mastery of writing complex queries, subqueries, joins, advanced PL/SQL development including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and custom type definitions.

+ Mastery of Unix knowledge and ability to modify and create Unix scripts.

+ Participate in Oracle Cloud migrations and mitigate issues identified.

+ Work with members of the software development team to coordinate Reporting Instance (RI) Database changes.

+ Maintain RI related dependencies and daily Refresh processes.

+ Prevent database bottlenecks and ensures rapid response times for mission-critical enterprise applications.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ BS/BA/BE in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

+ 10+ years relevant experience in software engineering

+ Experience developing and maintaining applications using Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle database objects, such as procedures, functions, triggers and packages.

+ Experience in UNIX

+ Must have COMPTIA Sec+ CE certification OR ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Knowledge of Air Force Human Resource process

+ Understanding of EBS HCM functionality

+ Strong understanding of Oracle and Unix programming

**Clearance & Security Requirements**

+ Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain public trust clearance suitability

**Physical Requirements:**

+ The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
