CTG is seeking to fill a Systems Programmer IV opening for our client.
**Location:** Remote
**Duration:** 11 months
**Overview:**
Join a high-performing team supporting enterprise mainframe systems. You’ll install, configure, maintain, and optimize middleware and infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead technical initiatives to ensure system reliability, security, and performance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Provide advanced troubleshooting and incident resolution for mainframe systems
+ Maintain and optimize CICS, DB2, MQ, VTAM, TCP/IP, and related infrastructure
+ Automate processes to improve efficiency, availability, and security
+ Mentor and guide junior team members and review technical documentation
+ Support capacity planning, audits, and compliance initiatives
**Required Skills & Experience:**
+ Expertise in Mainframe Middleware (CICS, DB2, MQ) and Networking (VTAM, TCP/IP, Connect:Direct)
+ 7+ years combined education/work experience in systems programming
+ Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project leadership skills
**Preferred:**
+ Master’s degree in a tech-related field
+ 15+ years of experience and relevant certifications
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $34.61 to $57.68/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
