Java & Web Technologies Developer

**CTG is seeking to fill a Java & Web Technologies Developer position for our client.**

**Location:** Remote

**Duration:** 4 months

**Duties:**

+ Design, develop, and implement Java-based web applications and integrations.

+ Perform upgrades and migrations including WebLogic to Wildfly, ServiceMix upgrade, and JDK 1.8 upgrade.

+ Rewrite existing MDW workflows and WebLogic T3 protocol components to align with new platform standards.

+ Ensure system stability, scalability, and performance throughout the migration process.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize application performance.

+ Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all upgrades and rewrites.

**Skills:**

+ Strong expertise in Java and web application development.

+ Hands-on experience with WebLogic, Wildfly, ServiceMix, and JDK 1.8.

+ Proficiency in upgrading and migrating middleware and application servers.

+ Experience with workflow automation and system integration (MDW or similar).

+ Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.

+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

**Experience:**

+ 5+ years of experience in Java and web technologies development.

+ Proven experience in server migration projects and middleware upgrades.

+ Prior experience rewriting legacy components for modern architectures preferred.

**Education:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $43.00 to $52.00 per hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
