**Introduction:**

Compass Call is an airborne electronic attack weapon system that has been actively deployed, supported and modernized for over 40 years. The Compass Call program encompasses the full life-cycle from technical studies and development to production, support equipment and training. With the introduction of Cross Decking the platform, BAE Systems became the Prime for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS). This position offers the opportunity to join the team as a Nondestructive Testing Inspector for a 14 CFR part 145 Repair Station.

**Basic Functions:**

Responsible for non-destructive testing (NDT) on metallic and non-metallic aircraft structures and components for corrosion, defects, or any detrimental conditions in accordance with prescribed methods and procedures. Interpret inspection results and complete required documentation in accordance with established procedures. Maintain inspection equipment and ensure proper calibration for tests to be performed.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Performs Nondestructive Testing (NDT) of Aircraft and Components.

+ Set-up, calibration, and utilization of nondestructive testing equipment to conduct final inspection after system/component installations are complete to verify compliance and completeness of work.

+ Reviews and audits production work orders.

+ Maintain professional relationships with associated contract partners and customers.

+ Deploy in support of customer operations (up to 25% of the year)

+ Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

**Required Education, Experience &Skills:**

+ High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of related experience.

+ Must have or be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

+ Level II Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Certification: Liquid Penetrate, Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic and/or Radiographic inspection

+ Ability to correctly maintain, calibrate, and use NDT equipment.

+ Must read and write English.

+ understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical and regulatory documents.

+ Knowledge of 14 CFR 145 repair station procedures and use of paperwork in relation to repair documentation.

+ Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.

+ Able to comply with all safety and physical requirements to access tight fit areas and or confined spaces such as aircraft fuel tanks and wheel wells, or working from elevated platforms, ladders and top of aircraft.

+ Must have experience using precision measuring equipment and reading and interpreting industry standards.

+ Federal Aviation Airframe and Powerplant License.

+ Previous experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station.

+ Previous Military Aircraft Maintenance experience.

+ Previous experience working with Government customers & programs.

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $88189 - $149922
