Printing Press Operator Trainee Responsibilities

As a Printing Press Operator Trainee, you will:

Assist experienced Printing Press Operators with press setup and production runs
Help prepare offset printing presses for operation
Hang, remove, and store printing plates
Supply materials to production equipment during operation
Monitor production processes and maintain workflow
Make machine adjustments while jobs are running
Learn printing press operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
Support quality and production goals
Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

To be successful in this manufacturing role, candidates should:

Be mechanically inclined and comfortable working with machinery
Have a willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Follow instructions and safety procedures
Be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality
Be able to lift, stack, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Operate pallet jacks and hand carts
Perform physical work throughout the shift
Possess strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude

Previous experience in manufacturing, machine operation, production, printing, maintenance, assembly, or industrial environments is helpful.

Training & Career Growth

This position is designed to develop employees into skilled Printing Press Operators.

Train on 1st Shift for approximately 6 months
Advance into 2nd or 3rd Shift production roles
Extensive hands-on training provided
Opportunity to become a Journeyman Printing Press Operator
Potential earnings of $25-$27/hour as skills and experience increase

Training Schedule

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Future Shift Assignment

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Candidates must be available for:

Daily overtime
Weekend work as needed
Shift transition after training

Double-time pay on Sundays.
