Role Overview

As a **Supervisor – Lab Facility** , you will lead laboratory operations, staff performance, and compliance efforts while ensuring high-quality diagnostic services and continuous operational improvement.

**Key responsibilities include:**

+ Overseeing laboratory staff and daily departmental operations

+ Hiring, onboarding, and scheduling staff to ensure appropriate coverage

+ Conducting performance evaluations and coaching team members for growth and development

+ Ensuring timely and accurate laboratory testing and result reporting

+ Supporting staff competency, training, and validation processes

+ Troubleshooting issues related to testing, equipment, and specimen handling

+ Maintaining regulatory compliance and inspection readiness

+ Enforcing laboratory safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment

+ Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality

+ Assisting with expense processing and departmental operations

+ Supporting leadership priorities and performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

**Required:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science **OR** a related Clinical Science field

Experience

**Required:**

+ Four (4) years of clinical laboratory or related experience

Licensure / Certification

**Required:**

State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License (Clinical Chemistry, Serology, and Microbiology)
