**Shift:** Day | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

**Role Overview**

As a **Supervisor – Cytogenetics Lab** , you will:

+ Provide operational and technical leadership for the cytogenetics laboratory

+ Oversee staff performance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance

+ Coordinate workflow for karyotyping, FISH, and microarray testing

+ Troubleshoot technical issues and manage inventory

+ Write and maintain lab procedures and perform assay validations

+ Review complex cases for accuracy and prepare reports using ISCN nomenclature

+ Consult with genetic counselors, pathologists, and clinicians to ensure appropriate testing

+ Hire, train, and mentor technologists; schedule staff and conduct evaluations

+ Maintain inspection readiness and compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulations

+ Drive continuous process improvement and innovation

+ Perform bench work as needed and assist with operational tasks

**Qualifications**

**Education**

+ **Required:** Bachelor’s degree in a related field

+ **Preferred:** Master’s degree in a related field

**Experience**

+ Cytogenetics experience required

**Licensure/Certification**

+ ASCP Certification in Cytogenetics (Required)

+ Florida Cytogenetics Lab Supervisor License (Required)
