Clinical Nurse Internship Program ER Nights
_The ER Internship Program, or ENIP is an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills to transition into an ER setting._
_We are seeking motivated, mature, self-directed professionals who are interested in growing in a dynamic team and making a difference._
**Positions details:**
+ **Location:** St. Joseph’s Hospital - 3001 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL
+ **Status:** Full Time
+ **Shift:** 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
+ Weekend requirement – every other weekend
+ **On Call:** No
+ Always in person
**_Internship details:_**
+ _3 weeks of didactic and 8-16 weeks of preceptorship_
+ _Guided clinical orientation to ensure up-to-date and comprehensive care knowledge_
+ **_Shift:_** _Interns will gain experience on both day and night shift before being assigned a permanent shift_
+ _Every other weekend requirement_
+ **_Commitment:_** _This is an_ **_hours-based_** _commitment required for the internship program specifically to the unit of hire beginning at the end of completed preceptorship hours_
**_Requirements:_**
+ _Current RN (Registered Nurse) License_
+ _Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing_
+ _BLS certification from the American Heart Association_
+ _EKG Script test will be provided at the start of the internship program, you are required to pass within 2 attempts. Failure to do so will result in being released from the internship program_
+ **_Preferred:_** _ACLS certification with the American Heart Association_
+ **_Preferred:_** _1-year experience in an Acute Care setting_

_The_ **_Registered Nurse – ER_** _responsibilities and skills:_
+ _Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards_
+ _Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team_
+ _Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care_
+ _Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments._
+ _Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition_
+ _Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients_
+ _Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge_
+ _High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient_

**_✅_** **_Qualifications_**
+ _Active Florida or Compact RN License_
+ _6 months or more of licensed RN experience_
+ **_Preferred:_** _1 year or more of RN experience_
+ _BLS Certification (AHA)_
+ _EKG Script test will be provided at the start of the internship program, you are required to pass within 2 attempts. Failure to do so will result in being released from the internship program_
