**Role Number:** 200663557-3956

**Summary**

The people here at Apple don't just create products — they create the kind of wonder that's revolutionized entire industries. It's the diversity of those people and their ideas that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do, from amazing technology to industry-leading environmental efforts. Join Apple and help us leave the world better than we found it.

The Video Engineering group is looking for a Software Engineer with a strong emphasis on framework development, automation, and data pipeline engineering. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role at the intersection of hardware, software, and machine learning -- where the work you build directly impacts the quality of next-generation Apple products.

**Description**

Our team sits at a critical intersection -- bridging Algorithm, Quality Assurance, and User Studies teams to drive innovation in video engineering. We build the tools, frameworks, and pipelines that power how Apple collects, manages, and processes data at scale. This role is primarily on-site in SCV, as it involves direct interaction with lab equipment, Apple devices, and in-person user study participants.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ BS and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience

+ 2+ years of Python

+ 1+ years of software framework design and development

+ 1+ years of experience with a major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, or equivalent internal platforms)

+ Comfortable with Git, REST APIs, SQL, and NoSQL databases

+ Experience designing and deploying automated systems

+ Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and engineering best practices

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience with robotics or industrial automation -- familiarity with robot kinematics, motion planning, or hardware control systems

+ Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities and tight timelines

+ Strong curiosity and drive to explore new technologies -- including AI/LLM tools -- to improve workflows and solve novel problems

+ Familiarity with device automation and UI scripting on Apple platforms

+ Experience building internal tooling or lightweight web interfaces as a complement to backend/automation work

+ Good verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

+ A builder mentality -- you take ownership, move fast, and care about the quality of what you ship
