Northrop Grumman Marine Systems specializes in the development, manufacture, assembly, and testing of propulsion and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines._
**_What you’ll get to do:_**
_As a_ **_People Leader,_** _you’ll support your employees by ensuring:_
+ _Lead a team directly responsible for the final assembly of one of these units._
+ _You will supervise a team of 10-15 mechanics, pipe fitters, painters, or electricians in their day-to-day work._
+ _You will be charged with taking care of your team, your product, and ensuring all work is performed to Northrop Grumman’s high standards of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Engagement._
+ _Their Time and Pay are accurate._
+ _They work in a safe environment, and their concerns are addressed._
+ _The collective bargaining agreement is adhered to._
+ _Their assigned training is completed._
+ _Obstacles to performing work efficiently are addressed._
+ _Interpersonal issues are addressed quickly and at the lowest level._
**_Must be flexible to work weekends to support operations as needed._**
__ **_Basic Qualifications Manager General Manufacturing 2:_**
+ _Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 8 years of experience; Master's with a minimum of 6 years of experience; PhD with a minimum of 4 years of experience (4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)._
+ _Supervisory or team lead experience in an operations environment._
+ _Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques._
+ _The ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance._
+ _Must be a U.S. Citizen_
**_Preferred Qualifications Manager General Manufacturing 2:_**
+ _STEM Degree_
+ _Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques._
+ _Understanding of SAP._
+ _Experience managing union represented workforce._
+ _Previous manufacturing experience._
+ _Previous military experience_
+ _Have an active DOD security clearance_

Primary Level Salary Range: $121,100.00 - $181,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
