As a **Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol** in **East Saint Louis, IL** , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

**Pay Rate: $22.92 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Sat05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

**How This Role Works:**

+ **Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”):** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

+ **Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, public areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.

+ Monitor access points and observe people, property, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location, following post orders and reporting security-related concerns in a timely manner.

+ Document patrol activity, incidents, and/or notable observations in required logs or reports, and support site procedures during alarms, disturbances, or other service-related events.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.

+ Have 1+ years of security-related experience.

+ Be 21+ years of age.

+ Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.

+ The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
