**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Mechanical** **Engineer** to join our team in **Silverdale** , **WA** . This is an **onsite** position.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Lead the design, development, and testing of specialized engineering projects associated with Navy acoustics, vibration analysis, and signal processing
+ Engineer modular data acquisition systems (DAQ) for the certification of naval equipment, integrating multiple sensor inputs including pressure, temperature, and frequency-domain insights
+ Conduct advanced vibration analysis and precision machinery balancing to enhance the reliability of nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers
+ Prepare automated report generation suites and technical documentation for naval equipment certification
+ Coordinate team tasks, schedules, and safety protocols for complex engineering test stands
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering field
+ 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in noise-critical environments or vibration analysis
+ Proficiency in LabVIEW for automated sequencing, control, and data logging
+ Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and Solidworks for numerical analysis and component design
+ Demonstrated knowledge of underwater acoustics
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Master of Science degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering field
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documentation
+ Self-starter with excellent people skills
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must have a current Secret security clearance
**Physical Requirements:**
+ The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
