**Job Description Summary**
Assists the A&H Executive Actuary in the management of the actuarial processes for runoff reinsurance long-term care and disability income insurance blocks. Assists in determining assets needed to support insurance liabilities and in determining the level of capital needed for regulatory requirements. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve processes and business outcomes. Utilizes understanding of industry to inform decision making process.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Prepares and analyzes information required to successfully complete quarterly financial reporting, financial projections, experience reviews and other activities associated with a life and health insurance company – primarily related to the company’s runoff long-term care and disability income business.
+ Assists the Rate Increase Leader with the management of LTC rate increase efforts including providing an actuarial voice to the work.
+ Works with other business units to analyze, explain, and project business results.Communicates and works with staff and leaders of different functional groups.High visibility within insurance team.
+ Works with medium to large teams of internal and external staff. May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business solutions to business leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.
+ Prepares information and works with external partners as required pursuant to business agreements
+ Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function and emerging technology to help arrive at a decision.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries, Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, minimum 5 years of actuarial experience.

+ Ability to lead the entire range of problem-solving work from problem definition to analysis, recommendation, and the development of implementation plans
The base pay range for this position is $145,600.00 - 194,500. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
