Apple's Camera Firmware team is looking for an extraordinary firmware engineer to drive groundbreaking technologies for Apple products! As part of the team you would work on core camera/ISP/Machine learning technologies including Apple crafted image signal processing pipeline and HW components, where you will have the chance to define the way that Apple develops, tests and manufactures all of its products. **Key Qualifications**

+ A real passion for hardware acceleration for AI algorithm and feature in the devices using Apple Neural Engine and real time firmware developments

+ Proficiency in C/C++ Proficiency in development of multi-threaded software within embedded RTOS system

+ Familiarity with camera pipeline and HW components

**Description**

This is a highly multi-functional product development role and you will work closely with various teams, like Silicon Design/QA team and the Machine Learning algorithm team. The environment is multifaceted, fast-paced and requires a self-starter demeanor. In this role you will implement, maintain and pursue problems in our firmware including: 1. Develop low level device drivers for sophisticated image processing pipeline in embedded systems for the latest SoC blocks, chipsets in Apple. 2. Work with driver and compiler team to design and develop firmware architecture to fully apply Apple Neural Engine hardware to run the machine learning algorithm. 3. Design and implement neural engine firmware features in embedded systems for Apple products. You will work with other teams to define features and communication protocols and detail the requirements clearly with implementation specifications. 4. Work on HW validation and provide firmware support to factory testing. You will also implement features to support hardware testing and diagnosis.

**Education & Experience**

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
