THE WORK:

+ You’ll provide inspection and quality assurance on highway and roadway construction projects.

+ You’ll determine if completed work follows the plans and specifications.

+ You’ll coordinate work with the contractor and various public utilities agencies.

+ You’ll maintain the records and reports related to the project.

+ You’ll coordinate directly with the general contractor and negotiate change orders.

+ You’ll assist in inspections to assure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and special provisions on all phases of structural construction such as bridges, foundations, walls, falsework, shoring, and drainage structures.

+ You’ll make or support grade, alignment, quantity, falsework, and shoring calculations.

+ You’ll assist in the preparation of contract change orders, contract estimates, progress pay estimates, and other documents or reports required for the project. Coordinate the sampling and testing of construction materials to monitor compliance with contract specifications.

+ You’ll monitor and track contractor progress, prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.

+ You’ll coordinate with the project team, as well as the Construction Staking and Material Testing CMCs.

Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

$180,000 - $225,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York or Washington as set forth below. We accept applications on an on-going basis and there is no fixed deadline to apply.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

+ Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California.

+ Minimum 1 construction highway project for or on Caltrans

+ Minimum 8 years’ experience conducting roadway and highway construction inspection in major public works projects.

+ Minimum 3 years’ experience with stress analysis, structural mechanics, and strength of materials.

+ Minimum 3 years’ experience with physical characteristics and properties of various roadway and bridge construction materials including concrete and steel.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

+ Ability to work independently.

+ Ability to perform duties in the construction field office and effectively make decisions concerning construction work in progress and solving field problems.

+ Ability to direct the efforts of subordinate inspectors.

+ Expertise in toll road projects including tolling systems (e.g., overhead gantries, cameras, in-pavement vehicle detection loops, etc.)

+ Experience working with Caltrans District 4 Highway
