**Description**
AppleCare’s FSDE team is seeking candidates with confirmed Software Quality Assurance experience to assist with validation of Diagnostic and Repair projects for all LOBs before release to customers, AppleCare service locations, and other support channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Conduct feature and performance testing of our diagnostic tools and testing flows to ensure they work as expected in our Retail and Service channels as well as via customer-facing programs like AppleCare One and On Device Diagnostics.
Conduct backend testing to ensure detailed integration of our diagnostic tools with customer facing apps like Get Support
Conduct feature and integration testing of all Right to Repair flows that directly impact customers worldwide who have the ability to buy and repair their own devices directly in their homes
Complete systematic diagnostic QA test cases by working with department leads to plan and execute test coverage
Use bug-tracking software to report and prioritize issues; work with developers and team leads to understand and pursue issues to resolution
Provide project managers and team leads with timely and accurate QA status during various project phases
Collaborate with and provide QA testing support to other testers, project managers, developers and other cross-functional teams
Contribute to initiatives to improve the overall QA process, such as identifying and closing gaps in testing coverage or inefficiencies in workflows
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
+ 2 - 7 years of relevant software QA testing experience
+ Working knowledge of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for log collection and analysis
+ Experience and knowledge of core QA methodologies, including creation of test plans and test cases, authoring documentation, problem isolation techniques, regression testing, ad hoc testing, and systems integration testing
+ Advanced familiarity with operating and troubleshooting Apple hardware and software (iPhone/iOS, Mac/MacOS)
+ Proven track record of delivering high-quality work on tight timelines
+ Self-motivated, independent, and proactive
+ Outstanding collaboration
+ Excellent written and verbal communication
+ Demonstrated ability to accurately collect and track testing data, and to assist developers and project leads in gauging project impact
+ Motivated by curiosity around unknown systems and a love for problem solving
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience with diagnostic software used in AppleCare service channels
+ Experience with performing mobile device repairs and familiarity with troubleshooting tools for the same is highly desired
+ Experience with testing automation software and scripting development on macOS and iOS platforms is a plus
