Mainframe Developer (COBOL/Zos)

CTG is hiring a Mainframe Developer with strong COBOL and z/OS expertise to support critical healthcare systems for our client.

**Location:** Sacramento, CA

**Duration:** 12 months

**What You’ll Do:**

+ Develop and maintain mainframe applications using **COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM**

+ Translate business requirements into technical solutions

+ Support **CA-MMIS / healthcare claims systems**

+ Perform **unit, integration, and regression testing**

+ Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams

**What You Bring:**

+ 5+ years of **mainframe development experience**

+ Strong skills in **COBOL, z/OS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS**

+ Experience with **healthcare or claims processing systems** (preferred)

+ Familiarity with **REXX, TSO/ISPF** , and mainframe tools

+ Exposure to **test automation tools (e.g., Selenium)** is a plus

**Education:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $100,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
