**Summary:**

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner at **St. Joseph’s Hospital-South** supports the **Emergency Room (ER), Emergency Department Observation Unit (EDOU), and Administrators on Duty (AODs)** . This role develops and leads education that strengthens clinical competency, evidence-based practice, quality outcomes, and professional growth across these teams.

**Your Role Within the Team:**

+ Develop and evaluate education that supports clinical excellence and professional development

+ Facilitate orientation, onboarding, and ongoing competency development

+ Serve as a resource for evidence-based practice, clinical education, and emergency nursing care

+ Partner with nursing leaders to support patient safety, quality improvement, and practice advancement

+ Provide guidance on competencies, certification opportunities, and professional development

+ Promote engagement, lifelong learning, and continuous practice improvement

+ Perform Registered Nurse functions and other duties as assigned, as needed

**Qualifications Required**

+ BSN with 3 years of clinical experience

+ Clinical nursing experience in Emergency Nursing or Emergency Department Observation,
