**CTG is seeking to fill a Licensing Engineer I - Engineering Projects opening for our client in Richland, WA.**
**Location:** Richland, WA
**Duration:** 12 months
**Duties:**
+ Provide regulatory support for key station initiatives and engineering projects, working closely with project teams, internal departments, industry peers, vendors, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
+ Research and interpret regulatory requirements and precedents to support project compliance and decision-making.
+ Monitor project documentation and activities to ensure they align with licensing requirements.
+ Review project activities under established guidelines to determine potential impacts on the plant’s licensing basis.
+ Prepare or review routine licensing basis changes, ranging from licensee-authorized modifications to NRC-approved amendments.
+ Support the full lifecycle of licensing actions under NRC review, including responding to NRC requests and participating in audits, clarification calls, and public meetings.
+ Assist project management teams in implementing NRC-approved licensing actions.
+ Attend industry training and workshops to enhance regulatory knowledge and skills.
+ Provide regulatory insight on project-related topics and support team members in understanding regulatory processes.
+ Offer support to plant regulatory and technical teams for basic, emergent, or routine licensing needs.
**Skills:**
+ Knowledge and application of general engineering principles, methods, and practices.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills for diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Ability to use more advanced regulatory techniques under guidance.
**Experience:**
+ Minimum one year of engineering experience in a technical environment.
+ Experience with 10 CFR Part 50 or 10 CFR Part 52 licensing basis documentation and NRC interactions is highly desirable.
+ Familiarity with NRC licensing processes, especially complex changes (e.g., license renewals or power uprates).
+ Background in nuclear compliance or licensing is preferred.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution; OR
+ PE license obtained by examination with at least one year of technical engineering experience.
+ High school diploma or GED required.

+ Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and schedules.
+ Demonstrated attention to detail and a questioning attitude.
+ Experience with Adobe Pro and other general business applications.
+ Operational experience or nuclear plant certification/SRO license preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000/yr to $86000/yr. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
