We are looking for a **Software Engineer II** to drive our efforts in areas ranging from performance, mobile architecture, and customer growth on an iOS platform. This position is with the Microsoft Teams’ mobile clients team which tackles the toughest challenges in the mobile collaboration and productivity space with customer driven shipping timelines by collaborating with multiple partner teams on technologies across the company and beyond.

**Responsibilities**

+ Solve and address any issues in the application fundamentals across areas as we continue to build the next generation capabilities for the Teams Mobile Application.

+ Improve the system architecture to scale the mobile development agility.

+ Understanding and anticipating the needs of our customers in a changing business and technology landscape is critical.

+ Understanding of mobile applications and understanding of the competitive landscape and usage scenarios. Product vision and ability to plan and design various features in stages to reach the end goal in an evolutionary way is critical.

+ You will be accountable for the design, implementation and delivery of solutions that will directly impact the customer experience and store rating with emphasis on reliability and product performance as the top concern.

**Qualifications**

**Required Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

+ OR equivalent experience.

**Other Requirements:**

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: - Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ 2 + years experience with iOS technologies Swift, Objective-C, Swift, Core Data etc. and knowledge of end to end software development life cycle for iOS platform.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
