As an Advanced Cloud Engineer at Honeywell’s Industrial Automation group, you will play a critical role in operating and supporting Azure-based, mission-critical cloud platforms that power smart energy and industrial solutions. In this role, you will focus on system reliability, availability, and performance across Azure infrastructure, networking, and Kubernetes-based environments.
You will monitor and troubleshoot production systems, implement operational workarounds to maintain customer access during incidents, and automate operations to reduce manual effort and improve resiliency. Working closely with application and platform teams, you will help ensure secure, scalable, and highly available systems that support industrial customers worldwide.
You will report directly to our Team Lead and you’ll work out of our Raleigh, NC, Atlanta, GA, Houston, TX, or Richardson, TX locations on a Hybrid work schedule.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Operate, support, and optimize Azure-based cloud infrastructure, including VM Scale Sets, Azure networking, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
+ Monitor system health, availability, and performance using Grafana, Prometheus, synthetic monitoring, and real-user monitoring
+ Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across compute, networking, Kubernetes, and data layers
+ Design and implement operational workarounds to maintain system availability and customer access during incidents or outages
+ Validate data ingestion, processing, and storage across Azure services and Oracle databases to ensure data integrity
+ Automate operational tasks, remediation, and monitoring using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code to reduce manual effort
+ Manage identity, access, and secrets using Azure IAM and Key Vault
+ Perform system patching, configuration, and vulnerability remediation in alignment with security and compliance standards
+ Collaborate with application development and platform teams to improve reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance
+ Continuously identify opportunities to improve system resiliency and eliminate recurring operational issues through automation
**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, platform operations, or cloud-based system support in production environments
+ Strong Azure expertise including VM Scale Sets, Azure networking, AKS, Oracle DB, Databricks, Function Apps, and Key Vault; familiarity with AWS and GCP is a plus
+ Technical Project leadership experience
+ Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, etc) for automation.
+ Experience building scalable solutions with zero-downtime deployment
+ Strong communication and teamwork

+ Bachelor’s in computer science, Engineering, or related field
+ Cloud modernization and DevOps automation experience
+ Vulnerability and patch management background
+ Familiarity with AI/ML and Gen, Agentic AI.
