REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

STARTING RATE WITHOUT EXPERIENCE: $30.78 + ($4.00) SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL IF APPLICABLE

THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A RELOCATION STIPEND IF MOVING MORE THAN 50 MILES FROM BLESSING HEALTH SYSTEM

JOB SUMMARY

+ This position is responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and resources taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the multidisciplinary nursing team as well as providing professional nursing care and intervention to cardiovascular patient populations. The RN will deliver quality patient care by contributing to the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge. Specific responsibilities include: prepare assessment of patient's progress and keep physician and family informed, monitor pain management procedures, education of patient and family, lead the discharge-planning process, ensure current and accurate patient documentation, and delegate appropriately to ancillary staff members. This position requires providing nursing services to one or more age populations, including adult through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

+ Education/Training/Experience:

+ REQUIRED:

+ Graduate of an RN School of Nursing

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ PREFERRED:

+ 2-3 years RN experience.

+ BSN

+ License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

+ Possesses current State RN license.

+ Completes Basic Cardiology course within 6 months of hire.

+ ACLS within 6 months of hire.

+ 12 Lead EKG course within 1 year of hire.

+ Completion of annual skills validation.

+ Preferred: Certification in specialty area when eligible.

Pay Status:

+ Non-Exempt Hourly
