JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing a variety of general and specialized cleaning including floor maintenance, refinishing, and carpet shampooing in assigned areas of the hospital. Assist with setting up rooms with various meetings. Other duties include assisting with other housekeeping related tasks including but not limited to trash pick-up, biohazard waste, etc. A job as an EVS Tech is physically demanding, requiring workers to remain standing for several hours straight, twisting, squatting, and bending.

Experience in the operation of floor maintenance equipment, chemical applications, and safety procedures.

Able to train and supervise night shift floor tech responsibilities

Able to work independently and lift or move furniture in patient rooms

Possess leadership and teamwork skills

Able to follow directives and provide good judgment related to floor care protocols

Committed to quality care and needs of the patients

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Maintaining a safe and secure environment for the patients while providing high quality floor care

Prompt and professional response to floor maintenance requests

Able to manage time and work assignments

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

+ Customer Service experience

+ Regular/consistent attendance

PREFERRED:

+ Two (2) years floor stripping and refinishing experience

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

+ Valid Driver's License

+ Non-exempt hourly
