Description

The Senior Learning Experience Designer (LXD) supports the UKG Learning team strategy by independently designing and developing high quality, learner centered education solutions for UKG customers. This role focuses on creating cohesive learning experiences across multiple modalities that enable customers to effectively adopt and use UKG products.

Principal Responsibilities

• Apply learning theory, instructional design models, and best practices to design learner centered solutions that span modalities including self-paced courses, job aids, and instructor-led training.

• Design learning experiences that incorporate personalization or adaptive elements to support different learner needs.

• Develop high quality learning assets using industry standard tools (e.g., Articulate 360), following UKG design processes, templates, and procedures.

• Identify opportunities to streamline analysis, design, and development activities through AI enabled or automated tools, where appropriate; ensure learning experiences remain accurate, inclusive, and human centered when leveraging AI assisted design approaches.

• Actively seek opportunities to improve learning effectiveness, efficiency, and learner experience through data informed and technology assisted approaches.

• Incorporate learner feedback, evaluation data, and insights to inform iterative improvements.

• Contribute to the establishment and continuous improvement of team processes, standards, and practices.

• Stay current with learning experience design trends and emerging tools, recommending cost effective enhancements aligned to learner and business needs.

• Manage multiple projects and changing priorities while delivering work on time and meeting quality expectations; may lead projects.

• Apply product and domain knowledge to design accurate, relevant, and effective learning solutions for customers across industries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum five (5) years of experience designing and developing learning solutions for software or technical products; experience with HCM software preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and learning experience design best practices.

• Demonstrated ability to independently design and develop cohesive learning programs across multiple modalities.

• Strong proficiency with industry standard authoring tools, such as Articulate 360, and ability to adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.

• Experience using AI enabled or automated tools to support learning design, development, analysis, or evaluation.

• Experience working in Agile (e.g., SAM) and waterfall (e.g., ADDIE) design environments.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver high quality work with minimal guidance.

• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder partnership skills.

• Portfolio or work samples demonstrating learning experience design and development skills are required.

Preferred Skills

• HR industry, HCM software, or UKG Ready experience.

• Experience designing learning that incorporates personalization, adaptive elements, or data informed decision making.

• Experience using Heretto or other DITA based authoring or content management tools.

• Experience contributing to team standards, templates, or process improvements.
