**JOB SUMMARY**

Marriott’s Technology Workplace Products team is looking for a Director, Product Management that will own, prioritize, and manage our end user Hardware products and act as a liaison with Global Information Security, Procurement, Continent IT leads, Legal, HR, Application Owners, and Privacy. This role will define product strategy, own and manage execution of the product roadmap and run technology steering committees. This role is accountable for outcomes of services produced by the product as the matrix leader and customer interface for the product. The Director builds and leverages strong partnerships across business, technology and product leadership in order to implement an operating model of innovative solutions for Marriott.

This role is a strategic role that will ensure that our endpoints are well positioned for the future to balance the security and end user experience as well as overseeing multiple initiatives in a clearly communicated and transparent way. Leverages technical depth and breadth as an influential, cross-functional leader that governs standards through partnership with product teams, product owners and executives. Functions as the product evangelist and subject matter aexpert, drives an agile approach and serves as the “go to leader” for timely updates to internal and, where applicable, external customers. The Director maintains the product resource/ capacity planning across people, process and technology as the owner of KPIs for the team, inclusive of business and financial metrics of product performance.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

**Required:**

• 8+ years experience in Information Technology including:

o 5+ years in technology product management at a large, geographically diverse enterprise.

o 5+ years directing a team blended of associates, contractors, and offshore managed resources.

o 5+ years engaging technical architecture, engineering and operations teams to deliver product outcomes

o 5+ years leading the design and implementation of technology enterprise program

o 5+ years of IT leadership experience with a blend technical knowledge and a customer-focused mindset

o 5+ years developing and executing strategic technology plans, building business cases, and managing project portfolios.

o 3+ years implementing enterprise security risk management frameworks and processes.

• 2+ years experience working as a product owner in SAFE Agile environment

**Preferred** :

• Experience with defining strategies and implementation plans for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.

• Experience with defining strategies and implementation plans for Dell, Lenovo, HP, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, and Google hardware

• Experience with geographically diverse HR, Legal, and Privacy practices and standards.

• Experience managing a geographically diverse team of engineers, operations, and contractors.

• Experience in the design, implementation and operational support of mission critical products

• Experience with UI/UX

• Experience working with Design Thinking

• Good understanding of security best practices including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO27001 and PCI DSS and will have experience working with one of these frameworks.

• Good understanding of asset management best practices.

• Strong negotiating, influencing and problem resolution skills

• Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

• Experience in business systems and process planning

• Strong influencing skills and an ability to overcome barriers while driving change

• Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences including executives, business stakeholders and IT teams

• Knowledge of business environment and service requirements within the hospitality industry

**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**

**Core Activities:**

• Develops the vision and strategy and drives the design and execution for the endpoint Hardware products

• Provides thought leadership to product and platform teams to align technology with business strategies

• Develop product and platform technology roadmaps

• Develop compliance management products and processes for Hardware

• Provides leadership to for the implementation of the Marriott policy, procedures, and standards throughout their business.

• Participates in forums for technology governance and portfolio management and prioritization

• Serves as the escalation point of contact for assigned discipline(s); leads efforts to resolve escalated issues

• Prepares and delivers presentations on technology investments

• Negotiates trade-offs within and across different solution platforms.

• Provides insights on impacts of the timing of solution introduction and technology retirement

• Fosters strong relationships to fully understand product and platform needs

• Proactively identifies deficiencies or opportunities for improvement to better enable end user experience, platform management, and reliability at the global level.

• Lead the development of pragmatic solutions across Technology Workplace Products by engaging the relevant subject matter experts.

• Provides communication or escalation path for issues identified by key business stakeholders or the product and platform teams.

• Provides regular, timely reporting on Hardware initiative status across the supported product and platform teams.

• Supports acquisition due diligence for risks and support control design for integration.

• Participates in reporting requirements, monthly/quarterly status meetings and offsites as appropriate.

• Provides subject matter expertise on various cyber threats to discipline leadership.

• Represents Technology Workplace Products (TWP) at meetings and acts on behalf of as requested

Program Management

• Supports Global Technology (GT) in modeling and planning phases for new initiatives under consideration

• Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure Delivery to confirm proposed solutions are compatible with TWP standards and patterns

• Accountable for the development of thorough and accurate business requirements, validating that solutions will meet product and platform needs prior to development.

• Partners with customer and product and platform teams to complete business cases by providing relevant information and monitoring its ability to meet all relevant GT standards.

• Aligns initiatives/projects with technology roadmaps and technology enterprise architecture.

• Monitors initiative and project risk management; creates and implements mitigation plans for each risk.

• Serves as a role model and ensure all information security leaders are visible and effective partners with GT counterparts, broader Marriott stakeholders, and service providers

**California Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.

**Colorado Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $222,943.00 annually.

**Hawaii Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $133,766.00 to $245,238.00 annually.

**New York Applicants Only** : The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually.

**Washington Applicants Only:** The salary range for this position is $110,550.00 to $245,238.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
