Speech Language Pathologist

**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

The Acute Care Therapy Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center provides the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide variety of diagnoses in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding medical setting. Our Therapists are critical members of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to achieving optimal outcomes for our patients. We are committed to teamwork and collaboration; our participation in interdisciplinary patient rounding occurs daily on a number of units throughout the facility providing therapy professionals to work autonomously.

Expectations:

+ Provides patient care, including evaluating the patient for treatment, providing and directing administration of the care plan upon the referral from the physician.

+ Consults with other health care disciplines to coordinate therapeutic programs and discharge planning for individual patients.

+ Instructs patients and caregivers in home program exercises and functional activities.

+ Assists with patient program management, while delivering quality patient services.

**Job Requirements**

**Minimum:**

+ Internship or rotation in appropriate clinical setting.

+ Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.

+ Computer skills.

+ Arizona License in professional area.

+ American Heart Association BLS.

**Preferred:**

+ Two (2) years progressive experience in clinical area performing patient clinical care.

+ Masters or Doctorate degree in appropriate clinical area.

+ Prior use of electronic health record.

+ Aquatics Lymphodemia orthopedics and neuro Physical Therapy experience highly preferred.

**Pay Range**

$55.9528 - $55.9528/hour
