**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

As our Sonographer, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.

Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.

+ Performs exams based on patient anatomy and habitus

+ Assists Radiologists and other Physicians in the performance of exams and procedures that require a physician.

+ Performs exams in all areas of the hospital such as portables on units, portables in ED and portables in OR

+ Prepares patients for interventional procedures.

+ Maintains the integrity of a sterile field during procedures that require one.

+ Assists Imaging Support in locating films, printing reports, and assisting physicians.

**Job Requirements**

**MINIMUM**

+ Completion of ARDMS or ARRT approved ultrasound training program

+ Two (2) years ultrasound experience

+ Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

+ Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN

+ American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR

**Pay Range**

$41.14 - $61.20 /hour
